Gina Korakian is an artist and maker living in Two Rivers, WI. She has exhibited her work extensively in St. Louis as well as, Chicago, Oregon, Washington State, New York, Washington DC, South Carolina, and Indonesia. She received her BA from the College of Charleston in Charleston SC where she focused her attention on printmaking and costume design. Gina completed her master’s degree in printmaking and drawing from Washington University in St. Louis, MO in 2002. Since graduation, she has pursued her interests in the arts both as an artist and as an arts administrator. In 2012, she was the recipient of the St. Louis Visionary Award. The Visionary Award celebrates the numerous contributions and achievements of women who work in or support the arts in the greater St. Louis region. From 2014 to 2019 Gina was executive director of the St. Louis-based Living Arts Studio. Living Arts Studio was a bustling art studio promoting access to the arts for people living with disabilities. Currently, Gina works at the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum. She has a home studio where she pursues many projects as well as taking in time with her trusty sidekick Ali.
